Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for being a part of our community in 2024! It’s the time of year again where we have opened our membership for the year. We would be very grateful if you would consider becoming a member of EOPD.ie in 2025, or if you have been a member previously, we would be delighted if you would continue your membership with us again this year.

Your membership has a significant impact on the work that EOPD.ie does and enables us to continue our work. All memberships are €25.

Our highlights from 2024 were:

• Successfully lobbying for further funding of Deep Brain Stimulation services in the Mater Hospital.
• Holding three informative talks on:
  • Navigating the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act,
  • Estate Planning,
  • The new Produodopa Pump. 
• Liaised with University of Limerick to organise three rounds of 6-week Online Exercise Classes.
• Launched the EOPD.ie Community Grant, providing funding to activities designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s.
• Collaborated with Parkinson’s Europe on a survey on Positive and Negative Experiences of Travelling with PD, and discussed findings with the DAA for service improvements.

Our Plans for 2025: 

• We will continue to advocate for better services and partner with other organisations, such as Neurological Alliance Ireland and Disability Federation of Ireland on key campaigns.
• We plan to expand our team by recruiting volunteers to help us meet our goals. 
• We are committed to holding more social and informative events for the EOPD and PD community.
• We are committed to raising awareness of EOPD with the general public.
