‘I thought I was the only person in Wexford with this condition’

A Wexford woman who heads up a national charity for Early Onset Parkinson’s (EOPD.ie has highlighted the personal and financial cost of having the illness to the Oireachtas.

Mary Casserly, a married mother-of-two from the Clonroche area, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s over three years ago. She had started feeling slight tremors and then noticed that her left arm wouldn’t swing naturally while walking and then her foot started dragging.
