My Moving Brain is a FutureNeuro community engagement program aimed at raising awareness of brain health and wellness while promoting inclusivity in sport for individuals impacted by brain conditions across Ireland.
My Moving Brain Community Connect Event is being held on 16th November 2024, 1.30pm – 5pm, at Blackrock College, Dublin.
The goal is to bring together individuals, families, caregivers, local sports clubs, coaches, patient advocacy organisations, clinicians, researchers and the wider public to share their experiences and identify ways to create inclusive sporting opportunities for everyone. The event is relevant to individuals and families impacted by brain conditions and everyone is encouraged to join this important conversation.
At the event, it will feature inspirational speakers who will discuss how brain conditions can affect participation in sport, share their lived experiences of managing these conditions while performing on the international stage, and offer practical tips to promote and encourage participation in different sports. Attendees will also have the chance to engage with an expert panel, ask questions, and discuss brain health and sports inclusion for the benefit of the community.
