PANORAMA – Parkinson’s Non-Invasive Volatile Organic Compound Analysis and Microbiome Assessment.

A new PANORAMA study sponsored by Imperial College London aims to help with the development of a non-invasive breath test for Parkinson’s.

The test measures molecules in the breath, which can be produced by gut bacteria. Since evidence suggests people with Parkinson’s may experience changes in their gut bacteria before diagnosis, researchers hope this test could potentially be used as an early diagnostic tool.

This research is conducted with NHS Trust.
